The Friar Lights are made from recycled Paschal and other church candles donated by various local Detroit area churches and re-melted and used in the pouring process of the Friar Lights.

Starting with the collection and melting of the wax, to the assembly of jars and printing and design of the labels, the candles are assembled by Franciscan Friars and volunteers from St. Aloysius Outreach Center in downtown Detroit.!
